I know you are looking for a studio or 1 bedroom. But I thought I might be able to offer you a good option. I have a room for rent in a house in Tillson, about ten minutes from SUNY New Paltz. The room is big and bright, 600/mo and the house is currently shared by two other serious grad students in the speech pathology dept and me, a working professional.
